Rise: London United
Saturday 8th July 2006, 12noon-8.30pm
On Saturday 8th July 2006 Rise: London United, the Mayor's free festival celebrating London’s diversity and opposing racism, takes place at Finsbury Park.
Acts already confirmed for this year's festival include: Common, Killa Kela, Sway, Roy Ayers, Graham Coxon, Buzzcocks, The Wailers, Mentor Kolektiv, The Duke Spirit and DJ Kayper.
Important announcement - Mos Def was listed as performing on some of the Rise: London United publicity, but unfortunately due to circumstances beyond the artist's or festival's control Mos Def will not be appearing at this years festival.
The Rise Comedy tent will be bursting at the seams with laughter as some of the best comedians in London and the UK take to the stage.
Back for its sixth year acts include Ninia Benjamin, Tony Hendriks, Shazia Mirza and Zoe Lyons.
